Bill Stanfill
‘He was everything you’d want in a defensive tackle. He combined speed, size, range, quickness and comptetiveness to
make him one of the greatest linemen to ever play the game.’ - Georgia’s Vince Dooley

During three seasons at Georgia, the 6-5, 245-pound Stanfill led the Bulldogs to a 26-6-2 record, two Southeastern Conference titles (1966 and 68) and three bowl games.
In 1968 he was named to the All-America team and was awarded the Outland Trophy, presented annually to the nation’s best interior lineman. After his career at
Georgia, it was a given that Bill would go on the stardom in the National Football League. Snapped up as the Dolphins top draft choice, Bill helped Miami win back-to-back
Super Bowl crowns in 1972 and 73. He was a four-time NFL All-Pro and still holds Miami’s career sack record with 67.
